Hello. I began building this site in December of 2009 after getting lucky enough to obtain this URL. What started out as a blog, began to show potential to be a great thing for every artist I knew instead of good thing for just me. By April of 2010 the directory was born. I have spend thousand of hours building, adding and maintaining this site since then. I set the site up to be Free for all artists and it will remain that way. It is not Free for me however. I have gladly donated my time for over two years and dedicate many hours every week to locate, contact, gather web addresses and photos and finally add links to all the artists you see on the site. In this rough economy maintaining the site financially is somewhat difficult. I gladly do it, but could definitely use a little help. If you have enjoyed this site and would like to see it continue growing and helping bring more light to this amazing art form you can help by making a small donation. This site platform only allows for one Admin and I am perfectly able and willing to do the work. If I had help paying the hosting cost it would be a great help. The site has to be renewed in December every year. The goal of donations is not to make the site profitable (I donate my time freely) but to help cover the hosting costs of the site so I do not have to take additional time from working on the site and my spending time with my family to go out and generate income to support it. I know there are free hosted site options but none that offer the tools and flexibility that this site does. It is easy to navigate and very user friendly. If even half the artists listed on this site made a donation of just $1.00 it would be enough to cover most of the the cost of hosting. I have added a paypal button here and on the front page of the site. There is not predetermined donation amount. If you can contribute $1, $2, $3 or even $5 added with contributions from other artists and site visitors it will help cover the sites hosting in no time. I will post the progress here as donations are recorded. If you would like to make your donation anonymously leave the name section blank and I will just add the amout of the donation to the tally. If somehow we gather more then is needed, it will carry over to next years hosting. If you have already made a donation (as many of you did last year) I would like to thank you very much. I am so proud to assist artists in finding each other and collectors to find them also. This is been a labor of love for me and interacting with all of these amazingly talented friendly artists has brought a lot of joy into my life. I so appreciate your help. Helping me pay for the site allows me to keep my free time free so I can keep working on the site instead of having to spend it trying to pull the extra money out of my tight personal budget. With each of us making even just a small donation the site can pay for itself and I can keep focusing my time on making it the best site possible. Thank you my friends, Linda
